We are very excited about the developments in the Department of Nestorian Studies. I thoroughly enjoyed my doctoral consultations and seminars at the University of Salzburg. This is an excellent university and is positioning itself to be a hub for Eastern Syriac and Church of the East center.
The Department of Nestorian Studies of the Kazakhstan Archeological Institute of the Academy of Sciences wishes to extend a very Happy New Year to you and your family! We are excited about the wonderful possibilities of rediscovering, researching, and developing this largely lost history of Central Asia.
Kevin White furthering his doctoral studies
8 December 2017, 12:00 am Written by Phil ThomsonKevin White is currently in Salzburg, Austria, where he is attending doctoral seminars and consultations as part of his doctorate. This itinerary will include meeting with several top experts in the field of Nestorian Studies. Following his time in Austria, Kevin will be visiting England to do some further research in the British Library and Oxford Bodleian Library. He hopes to establish connections with these libraries which have many resources and documents that relate to Nestorianism and Central Asia.
